Scaffoldings on the Sway

This is my impression of Manila in acrylic and masonite back in the mid-1990's when this veritable metropolis was in the midst of a construction boom. Bamboo scaffoldings were everywhere. Delicate-looking but sturdy, the stalks wrapped around concrete slabs and columns to form cages, gently swaying with the pacific air currents. I sort of wish that the supports were left long after the construction as if an unidentified new species of flora had suddenly sprouted throughout the humid landscape.
